Introducing Joshua

Josh was born in Auckland, New Zealand. He started ballet at the age of 12, training at Philippa Campbell School of Ballet. Josh later commenced full-time training in 2022 at the New Zealand School of Dance, graduating at the end of 2023. 

Performing at the Royal New Zealand Ballet’s 70th Anniversary Gala, and participating in a student exchange program with Canada’s National Ballet School in 2023, are among Josh's highlights.

Josh successfully auditioned for the Jette Parker Young Artist program,and joined Queensland Ballet as a young artist in 2024.

Did you know...

Josh started his dance training at 7 years old. He initially learnt Hip Hop and then Jazz, Contemporary and Lyrical along with some gymnastics and cheerleading. He later found his passion for ballet after being told he needed to improve his technique!


What advice do you have for aspiring dancers?

"Always remember that it’s about the process not the outcome."
