QB last toured Giselle to regional QLD in Li Cunxin's first year as Artistic Director!

Fun Fact 2

Queensland Ballet was established in 1960 and became one of the first ballet ensembles in Australia to tour regionally.

Fun Fact 3

This year the Queensland Ballet's education team are travelling to 34 regional locations across QLD and NT to deliver in-school workshops and community classes to people of all ages and abilities.

Giselle was first premiered in 1841 in Paris, with famous ballerina Carlotta Grisi as the lead.

There are 60 dancers in the Queensland Ballet company. Half are female and half are male!

Queensland Ballet's dancers do regular cardiovascular, strength and pilates conditioning sessions to prevent injury and strengthen their bodies to perform in peak condition throughout the year.
