#General information

Arrival and Check-in

The Box Office and cloakroom for the Concert Hall are located on Level M. Large bags (larger than A4 size) and umbrellas must be left at the cloakroom. It is recommended you arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance starts to allow time for check-in and seating.

Latecomer Policy

Please note that there is a strict lock-out period for latecomers to all Queensland Ballet performances.

Program

Complimentary printed programs will be distributed at the theatre with information about the performance.

What to wear

It's not necessary to get dressed up to come to QPAC. Although if you are coming to a gala event, it is likely that guests will be dressed to attend a special occasion. Usually smart casual dress is perfect. Because all of our theatres are air conditioned, you may want to bring a light wrap or jacket, especially if you are dressed for Brisbane summer weather.

During the Performance

Please relax and enjoy the performance! Our dancers love to hear you respond and applaud as it lets them know you appreciate their artistry and are enjoying the production.

Please remember to turn off all mobile phones and electronic devices before the performance begins. Please note photography and filming is not permitted during the performance.

#COVID-Safe Information

For the safety of all patrons, please do not attend if you are feeling unwell and have any symptoms of COVID.

Masks are not mandatory at QPAC however, we strongly recommend you bring a mask with you to the theatre for use where physical distancing is not possible

Face masks can be a useful measure to help control sustained community transmission of COVID-19. Monitor Queensland Health's directions about face masks, as this will continue to change in response to community transmission in localised areas. The best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 is to stay home if you are sick, and thoroughly wash your hands often. When wearing a face mask, it is recommended you avoid touching it with your hands.

Please remain seated after the performance and show your appreciation to the performers non-verbally i.e. by applause or stamping your feet.

Observe physical distancing and follow signage and staff directions regarding entry and exit procedures.

#Dining and Refreshments

There are three dining options located on the ground level of QPAC, just moments from your theatre seats. The Lyrebird, Cafe and Bistro are all licensed and have a variety of meals to choose from.

The foyer bar and merchandise stand are located on the Stalls level (Level 2 in the lift). The foyer bar also sells light snacks and there are vending machines for chocolates and other items. An additional bar is located on the balcony level (Level 4).

Check with the bar staff during your visit, but it is usually OK to take drinks into the theatre, as long as they are in plastic cups.

#Accessibility

Three lifts provide access to the Concert Hall foyers from the ground floor. Check your ticket for your door number and go to Level 2 for doors 1-10, or Level 4 for all other doors. Unless you have specifically booked wheelchair accessible seating, it is likely that your visit to QPAC will involve some stairs, so please check at the time of booking or call 136 246 if you have mobility issues.

Wheelchair accessible toilets are on the ground level and Levels LM, 2 and 4. There are baby change facilities in the toilets on Level TM.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
